Designed by Professor Rajmund Teofil Hałas in 1960, produced in Bydgoskie Fabryki Mebli.
Professor Hałas – artist, architect, furniture designer, from an early age associated with carpentry. He is exceptionally renowned for Polish post-war design.
Professor Hałas started his professional career as a carpentry master in his father’s plant and ended as head of the Department of Industrial Design and Design Workshop at the PWSSP in Poznań.


A chair with a unique, yet very characteristic shape for the early 1960s, the seat made of bent ash plywood is supported on light, narrow legs made of solid ash wood.
After cleaning the old coat and repairing the carpentry, the chair was again secured with several layers of varnish, emphasizing the beautiful color and graining of the ash wood.
