Designed in 1962 by Józef Chierowski, it had been implemented for production in the
Dolnośląska Furniture Factory in Świebodzice (Dolnośląska Fabryka Mebli w
Świebodzicach) and after the fire of the factory, the armchairs were manufactured in
several other plants up to the mid-1980s.
Model 366 is an icon of Polish design – produced in a million copies, is the most
recognizable piece of furniture of the PRL era.
Armchairs underwent a comprehensive carpentry and upholstery renovation.
The frames have been cleaned from the old coating, re-stained and protected with
several layers of semi-gloss polyurethane varnish. The upholstery has been completely
renewed, sponges and belts replaced. Modern, high-quality fabric has been chosen so
that the armchairs can be freely combined with each other.
