Designed and manufactured at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s in the Gościcino Furniture Factory (Gościcińska Fabryka Mebli), a leading manufacturing enterprise of the Furniture Industry Union (Zjednoczenie Przemysłu Meblarskiego) during the times of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL). In the 1960s, Boomerangs were mass exported to many countries of Western Europe and the USA. The chair owes its name to the characteristic, arched shape of the legs.
The set consists of four chairs which underwent a comprehensive carpentry and upholstery restoration.
Wooden frames have been cleaned of the old coating and again secured with several layers of matte acrylic varnish. This treatment emphasizes the natural, bright color of beech wood from which the chairs were made.
The upholstery sponges on the seats have been replaced and covered with a very high quality, modern fabric.
